Microsoft has been in market before Google came out not Android.
Their first OS for palm and phones was Windows CE in 1990!
And still they can't beat Android 2008!
People don't trust Microsoft anymore they didn't upgrade WM phones to WP and they didn't upgrade WP7 to WP8.
And WP is just a primitive OS and still no Multitasking because Microsoft know for sure it will be lag even more and its already laggy and buggy + it has no decent games or apps.

I can hardly find the jeans that can fit only the size of 3.5" phone.

Pureview was popular and then it became outdated in 1 hour after its released.
8 MP with Panorama mode is way better than 38MP of bad quality.

Nokia is over in 2013 after their failure with Lumia 920 and its so cheap and still didn't sell more than 1000 units.

I Have used all 3, iOS is simple, but most apps are not free, Games are more interesting but screen size abit small for my use as they upgrade their OS my iphone 4 get slower, Android has tons of free stuff but a bit buggy and hang and resets itself at time but updates make is smoother and more usable. Lumia has the nicest interface and is very social. Does not lag even with only 512mb of ram. i used iphone 4, htc one x, galaxy note and lumia 900

> In reply to LoveAndroid @ 2013-01-03 03:34 from QXPR - click to readI hate windows phones but I have to disagree with your comment. The only reason we don't see windows phone in the top ten of 2012 is because they came out half or later of 2012.

Still happy they are not in the top ten and hope they continue to be out of the top ten after 2013 =D.

GSMArena, please do something about the fake votes for Lumia 920 in Current Ranking by user rating. It is just so fake that Lumia 920 sits at the top of the list everyday but never appears in the ranking by daily interest which is based on actual page hits.

I think the explanation why Lumias don't even make it here b'coz people don't bother to try one. On the brighter side, a feature-phone and a Symbian made it to the top 10, and to think that all of the other competitors are smartphones. 2013 is just begining, we'll see if this trend will continue. . :)

well, a couple of weeks ago, gsmarena posted a news about the most visualised clip on youtube. It was a stupid song, with nothing special, no art, no emotions, no deep feelings, stupid and stupid again, but it was the most visualised. And now another news: Samsung phones are the most visualised on gsmarena site. Don't you think Samsung phones are the same, no art, no emotions, no deep feelings, stupid and stupid again? The quantity is in favor of Samsung, but how about the quality of men who are interesed in a phone or another? It's hard to say, but not impossible. The nature is arisocrate, and the opinion of a superior man makes more than the opinion of 1000 stupid people. So don't bother about quantity, be cool, be free, be smart. There are a lot of phones around there with more personality, more art, more "feeling" than Samsung ones. It's your choice if you want to be special or if you want just to be a part of the crowd. Happy new year gsmarena and please don't censorship my post.

These rankings simply show 1 thing. Windows Phones are just cannot make it at all. Whatsapp is sub par, no Flipboard or official Dropbox. Having a Windows Phone is simply so boooooring.
