The OS performance.
Android = running.
iOS = jogging.
RIM = walking.
WP = crawling.
Others = sleeping.
apple-sux, 04 Jan 2013MS pushed wp8 in the market, new phones are available and we had xmas. but WP share is falling... moreSorry to interrupt your fanboy glee, but these numbers don't include the Christmas season. Reading is fundamental.
Google and Android rule!! Thanks for fantastic phones and best of all freedom of choice. All the very best for 2013..GO.. GOOGLE AND, GO ANDROID
Actually I don't think thats WP who's share is declaining, but outdated Windows Mobile. It was quite popular not so long ago in USA but it last version is few years old and users with smartphones with WinMobile are just switching to new phones. While it's true that WP market share in USA is very small (and in whole world for that matter) I think it's slowly growing, not declining. Well, if not, than WP is really dead. And by the way USA was never big fan of Nokia, they never liked them.
Anonymous, 04 Jan 2013:)...please, if your android calendar missed christmas in december(the whole month actually:))... moreYour News came too late to mention here!
Samsung fixed in a blink before most of you realized the fault
apple-sux, 04 Jan 2013MS pushed wp8 in the market, new phones are available and we had xmas. but WP share is falling... more:)...please, if your android calendar missed christmas in december(the whole month actually:)) it doesn't mean that the rest of the world celebrated like you xmas in august and november-because these are the months of what this article is about:)
Its the same football and soccer thing . USA is a fanboy and fangirl country. They hated nokia symbian for dumb flip phnes lol.. We should should start focusing on markets like china and india ,which loves competition !
MS pushed wp8 in the market, new phones are available and we had xmas. but WP share is falling. lol
well, the USA are not the only market, that is true. but it is a very important one AND it is MS home market. in europe people won't touch WP devices. people don't like MS over there. i see a bigger chance for them in brazil.
anyway it is a huge disapointment. nokia's last chance is sailfish jolla. market will not accept WP8.
samsung know how to make the best smartphone and what consumers want. not to surprize if sammy beat 2 of biggest american phone makers in their home. market phone now not just looking from metal or alloy build quality, but others is more important for peoples.
Hopefully WP8 will help the market share to rise in the US once the december figures are released.
In any case, US is not the end of the world :)
JackSparrowThePirate, 04 Jan 2013An honest question why Gsmarena still putting Nokia in top of the list? Should it be Samsung?no:)...although some don't like/want to admit it, there is a world outside US you know? I'm not saying that Nokia is no.1 globally, but Samy's position is not the only one wrong judging by US charts and yet you care only for samo-not biased at all, heah?:)
reading this kind of article makes me want to bash Stephen Elop more for stupidly and stubbornly choosing Windows OS over Android for Nokia.. I still believe that Android running Nokia phone will blow the competition to dust..oh lord...
An honest question why Gsmarena still putting Nokia in top of the list?
Should it be Samsung?
