my SGS II went horrible after updating to ICS, so it's kinda regretful thing for me, my phone freezes for many times a day, the battery indicator cannot read the real remaining battery capacity (phone dies at 30% or 40%), and other disturbing things, however, my phone is almost 2 years old so I'm upgrading to JB anyways, cause if it gets worse, I'll just buy me a new one with JB out of the box and I swear to God I will never ever upgrade the OS again, cause it's like a gambling, some people get good experiences and some people, like me, don't.

Ok got the upgrade - through the private store I bought it in. Short review:

Bad: No HDR effects in camera, no photo/buddy/beam sharing. News ticker in the lock screen won't load info for me. No 2 apps on one screen if you dreamed.

Good: It's an GSIII all the way. Apps on lock screen, smart stay, smart rotate, Nature UX is blazing fast, Google Now, the list goes on.

I hope it is a full upgrade this time, unlike the half-baked ICS upgrade... I am still waiting to be able to access my camera from the lockscreen!

Hello gsmarena happy new year, more power, thank you so much for sharing fresh news, I always read your fresh news about firmware updates, latest smartphones and "boom" I really appreciate the phone's specs it really helps me to find out what could be the best among the best phone being released around the world. Hoping that sgs4 will be "grand amoled Plus" since sgs2 made with it for me sgs2 still the best screen display. Take care guys

Not updating until someone had already made the update and post review. It will take huge ram to run without apps running. So there will be left, if it will crash I'm staying with ics. Anyway ics is nice already

good news from samsung, as i already have the leak version running in my phone, nice smooth os and nice new features, including that annoying water touch sounds! XD all in all nice smooth stable os, and good features even though it is almost 1gig in size! XD and the ram consumes 600mb without apps, and only if samsung could fix the pixel burnt and extend the life of super amoled plus screen, samsung will be the best

@ "Just use your phone as it is .. do not think about updates or features. Rooting and tweaking with your device will void it or maybe brick it.. Be patient, and it will come naturally :)"

This is an official Samsung update so no custom roms will be loaded and the warranty will not be voided.
