If anything, i think that just says that Sony Ericsson pays attention to its market. Rather than putting out another out of date phone, they're going to spend their time and money on something even better.

The Iphone will be available in $199 soon , so most of the smart phones will fail.

Could the possibility that Sony Ericsson might wish to buy HTC (currently regarded as a rumour only) might have influenced the company in their decision not to launch these products? After all if such an acquisition were to occur, both companies would be keen to prevent product overlaps, particularly during the current economic climate.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-06-22 05:02 from 4TLG - click to readSE won't cancel a phone that has already been officially announced so the X1 will stay. The P5 and G702 was never announced and its just used for testing purposes so they can pull it back any time.

what?! I was really looking forward to the release of the Sony P5, as it was a sliding smart phone that looked really cool, as I don't want an ugly fat nokia n phone. Oh well, I guess i'll stick with my tracfone lol

Cancelled? LOL. I won't be surprised if they decide to cancel the X1, for up to know they still can't fix its bugs, lol.

wow great news!
SE is waking up!
finally they understood that if they continue with their crappy phones they'll lose even more in front of the other manufacturers
