this is what we needed. this will suck through the battery twice as fast regardless of what they say. more cores = more power consumption the rest is marketing BS.why 8 cores when 2 is enough? give us 2 cores that are very efficient, a more economical display, more performant battery so that we don't have to charge the phones twice a day.

Octa means 8. In fact here Samsung is telling us that this octa is 4 A15 with lots of consumption at good speed. And a reduced consumption on the other 4 A7 cores. So this octa is a good 4 cores. So this is an evolution not revolution.

And this comes from an S3 owner as i'm not biased towards any brand. IP5 is NOT better than S3 let alone be 2x or 4x faster. Valid arguments are accepted. Fanboy rants, not so much.

It's 72 GPU, not 72 CPU.

For Consideration... Tegra 3's 12 GPU is still below Power VR's 4 core GPU...

Qualcomm announced next gen Snapdragon 800 running quad core Krait 400 CPU "running at 2.3 Ghz, latest 4G LTE Cat 4 modem and Adreno 330 GPU" apparently power consumption will be lower as well (snapdragon 800 supposedly will be 75 percent faster than current s4pro)

Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro is already obsolete. There is the Snapdragon 800 series that can go to 2.3GHz and the Snapdragon S4 Prime that can go to 2.5GHz
