I'm a proud owner of a SG2 since April 2011 and it's such a shame this new model is basically the same phone but with zero shutter lag.

What a wasted opportunity!

I got really excited when i read the title, i was hoping for the same phone design / dimensions but with the latest bluetooth (v4.0), a lot better battery life and a few more sensors.

That would do me just fine, i do not want bigger screen phones, 4.3 inch is perfect for one handed operation, anything bigger is a tablet in my opinion as it requires that i use 2 hands for some functions.

Overall this was a disappointment, unless you want to take photos on a regular basis, stick with the original SG2 (it's lighter, has more internal memory), get an extended battery for it and wait for a better phone to come out with the same screen size / weight.

In my opinion, the SG2 is still the most perfect smart phone and i will rock it until it dies and believe me, this beast has been dropped multiple times without a protection case and the screen still doesn't even have a scratch!

> In reply to Nio @ 2013-01-10 11:13 from Mfxf - click to readWow, sharpest knife in the drawer are we?? Of course this phone is not made for S2 owners!

I think this phone is great news, JB out of the box and it will be good looking, not the ugly iphone copy that the original S2 is. This is gonna sell like crazy in emerging markets and in low cost countries.

Many fanboys fail to see the reasons for many phone models, like the Galaxy Grand, that one also is gonna sell well, please stop assuming that all phones must be made for the same target group. There is plenty to choose from for us who want high end phones, but in many catgegories there are no good options, Galaxy Grand and S2+ are filling very important holes. And remember that the S3 Mini was gonna fail as well, thats what everyone here said, right? But its on the top 10 bestseller list also in the UK. Obviously Samsung know the market MUCH better than fanboys who love to critisize their lineup. Go make your own phones and selll them and Samsung will be bankerupt in one day, because you guys know so much better, right?

No GPU mentioned anywhere. Beware people don't buy without confirming to get only Jellybean less games.

Pointless move, sammy just want to save some money on production costs. (Saving resources for expensive S4 manufacturing, joking)

Broadcom chipset? I don't find information about broadcom making SoC for mobile phones. Also on the source page of samsungmobile the battery is 1650mah. Can you be more specific about the SoC inside SII Plus ?

Really happy with my GS2, especially with JB upgrade in a few weeks or days.
So what is the point of this phone ? And now only 8 Gb memory when mine has 16 Gb. It is better be really cheap if they want to sell it...
Only phone i would consider changing my S2 for would be the coming S4
