Sony Xperia P is a bit cheaper here in EU, but it doesn't have all the features (or bloat the way I see it) that S3 mini has gotten from his big brother (S3).
And if you really want to go with a Scamsung device, you could also try out a little older but still the same (yes it's the Scamsung way - every new phone once a week) Galaxy S Advance.
At least it's cheaper and has just received a v4.1 JB update!

As someone who appreciates the general shape/design of the Galaxy S III and is looking for something on par with Sony's Xperia P (in performance and price, in which case they're almost identical), I miiiiight get the Titan Gray one.

Apart from brown they are nice colours. Can't help but feel that samsung screwed people over by only releasing 2 colours at launch and now people are stuck in 2 year contracts probably want the other choice of colours now. Bad samsung
