Also if you get the charging pillow you'd understand how convenient it is to just drop the phone down on it and be sure that it will be fine.
Convenience is the point.

Windows Phone 8 is the only mobile OS to be nominated for the design award. Shows that other OSes are dated.

Free wireless charging is only on AT&T. They are promoting Windows Phone. Their CEO tried Windows Phone and he loves it.

> In reply to droopy @ 2013-01-14 17:37 from KjZP - click to readYeah, since the Lumia 920 is exclusive to AT&T, and the Nokia fans are saying that millions are already sold, and a big chunk of that in USA alone, how come AT&T can keep up the demand in supplying all these wireless chargers, Nokia cannot manufacture enough phones but these wireless chargers exists in such excess numbers that they dont know what to do with them and have to give them away for free?
There are hooters in the moss.

Ha ha nokia sooo desperate to shift these kids toys there still throwing in free junk.Next thing youll get an xbox and free lifetime subscription for getting lumbered with one.Nokia looks cheap trying to convince people to buy into there poor eco system.Just face it apple gives nothing away as there products sell along with samsung. Its stands to reason if your giving stuff away band heavily discount the phones then something isnt selling and thats facts and not trolling.Just face it wp fanboys your beloved operating system isnt selling.I feel for you i realy do but thats your own stupid fault bying into this rubbish os.

Wish they had similar deal outside US. I've bought two Qi charging plates and those are pretty valuable.
For those thinking that Lumia 920 isn't selling, it actually seems to be exactly the opposite. Many suppliers are having big problems getting any phones on the shelves.
For example Clove UK just announced that their third shipment in row was fully sold out before they even got it. So it has been over two months from release and they still haven't gotten a single phone to the shelves. See http://goo.gl/GxbHX

What is the point of plugging in the wireless charger to the wall and then having to place the phone on top of the charger, when it is just as easy to plug in a normal charger to the wall and then place the phone on the exact same place on the table... with the charger-cable plugged directly in to the phone?

Kind of an indication of weak sales. Sadly, with these 5inch 1080p, quad-core phones coming, WP8 phones look old already. WP8 can't support 1080p, so there would be WP9 that can support the future phones and people with WP8 devices will be left with WP8.9 update and that's it.
