> In reply to rt324 @ 2013-01-15 06:08 from ajVf - click to readHow DENSE can one get? Do you use your pc monitor at the same distance as your cellphone? Seriously, get a grip on it. Start with reading up the definition of Retina, learn about PPD and the different viewing distances. While i dont care about brand names like Retina i still like to use that as a definition, as it explains the different minimum ppi reqired for different viewing distances (which is cellphone, tablet and PC)

I would like to see you using your 21 inch PC at 10 inch distance, ahaha.

I'll buy a tablet instead. And i'm not a fanboy for crying out loud, i'll better-off with Sony if i would go Android.. :)

> In reply to [deleted post]720p on a 5 inch display does not even meet Apples reqired PPD (pixels per degree) for Retina branding, its BELOW 300 ppi.

Why not believe the reviewers who say its a big difference, instead of supporting those who would want to resgtrict us to 720p on cellphones? Theres already countless reports that Xperia Z and Droid DNA/Butterfly has far superior clarity, NOONE has said theres no difference from 720p, and you say its no difference, how did you OBSERVE this?

> In reply to ObserverPh @ 2013-01-15 06:13 from P@1G - click to readThe difference is BIIIG! We have tested 720p displays and everyone except FAR SIGHTED people can see a BIG difference, and even they see the shortcomings of 720p when using reading glasses. 720p on a 5 inch display even has visible antialiasing fog around some letters, and small (but still readable size) characters looked like they been raped on a 720p display this size.

If you are an observer then maybe you should start observing, instead of talking about things you have no idea about.

seriously 1080p on a mobile it's to much, i think 720p should be the limit. Who could posibly see the difference betwen 1080 and 720 on a 5 inch screen? It's also a waste of resources and battery, having two times and something more pixels, so why waste cpu power and battery for something you can't even see. i love samsung and android and don't wanna sound like old people but my monitor is 21 inch and has 1080p. I really don't see the point for a 1080p screen on such small devices.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-01-15 05:07 from v0qu - click to readSorry about your ego. But if you compare 2 phones at almost same price and release date say Xperia p and S advance. Xp 275ppi TFT 1305mah vs S-amole S-advance 233ppi 1500mah, After Xp ics update, Xp is the winner in terms of batter efficiency. Amoled is a fake. Also see viewing angle of xperia p whitemagic. after that comparison, you can no longer argue that its the screen that makes the battery last longer, but its the whole phone including the features.
