haha a TFT display for 650euros? come on, if you remove the fancy stuff, waterproff, glass in the back and all other not important things, this phone should cost no more than 400euros.

In EU what cost for example 10euros, in US cost 10dollars. So in US can expect 650 dollars price for Z.

> In reply to Sama @ 2013-01-15 10:58 from a3C3 - click to readapparently, it boils down to different pricing in different regions. some offer low prices while others have skyrocketing price tags. UAE may sell it at lower prices since they don't have VAT or other related taxes. in places with high tax rates, the devices will really appear very expensive.
if you are not from the place where the particular price is used, it may be better not to comment whether or not it's really exaggeratedly expensive since people in such places may already be used to such pricing for premium products. many europeans are rich fellas so their pricing are correspondingly made for rich people.

Fat price. I surely can't afford this. But sony is following HTC's footsteps and I don't like it. At that price point I can get a Razer Edge.

I've owned the GS3 ever since it came out and when I let people hold or play with my GS3 not one ever talked about or complained about the build quality or why it's made of plastic. So in reality Not many people care about the build quality but the feeling of the phone in your hands, GS3 actually feels comfortable holding it. So people complaining about build quality and that it is made of plastic are just finding a way to hate Samsung for no real reasons. I mean fanboys are already saying GS4 (which is not out yet) is already a fail because of the xperia Z?!?
Another thing i would like to mention is why is the design or build quality soo important when most people end up applying fancy plastic protective covers over them? In my opinion the features, customer support, updates, processor are more important than build quality since I'm gonna end up applying protective covers anyway.

f'in A...can't they just make a decent sized phone (read 4.5") with all the specs? I blame HTC for this crap.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-01-15 10:34 from vC}L - click to readS2 was the better one. S1 was extremely blue when viewed straight on. This is because of incorrect calibration ofwhite. Perfect white in a display has a color temperature of 6500 Kelvin. Galaxy S1 had more than 10,000 Kelvin, which of course is ridiculous. S2 had lower than S3 but also S2 is well above 6500K.
High white temperature gives a blue tint, low white temp will give a yellowish tint with a little bit of Magenta, like in some Htc models with SLCD.

> In reply to Marco M @ 2013-01-15 11:00 from 5i4e - click to readIs not only the calibration. I had a Nokia n9, and sure the colors was better calibrated but that didn't help in a video test side by side with a xperia pro. The xp had much better detail. Didn't try with Bravia engine off on the xp though. Actually mobile bravia engine 1 was not that great, very over saturated colors.
