in india if it goes beyond anything above Rs 38,000 it will not sell.
note 2 is available for 36,000 and s3 for 31,000

I really don't see why people say the price is so high.

650 euro is about what the Galaxy note costs now in Europe, but it costed even more in the beginning
650 euro is the same the Galaxy SIII costed when it first hit the stores
650 euros is still a lot cheaper than the cheapest iPhone 5

I agree that Samsung's SGS 3 is a piece of plastic crap. It is a very good phone overall but when it comes to build quality it is crap. Samsung will run into big problems if the design of SGS 4 remains unchanged because all the other manufacturers already learnt the lesson and do make phones that are well designed and well built. Look at Apple, Sony, Nokia, HTC, Motorola - all of their flagship devices are better built than SGS 3.

Sgs3 is a piece of plastic crap that's a crap phone, as a smartphone its good but anything else no, calling texting charging takes a lifetime and the screen is appalling, get the HTC one x+ its miles better in every department, and the xperia z deserves to be this price when iPhone 5 is £530, Sgs3 is a cheap piece of plastic

That's too expensive! Does it have a breakthrough application/software developed by Sony that sets it apart from other android species? Yes the design is great but is it as smart as the other smartphones? M a Sony Xperia S owner but m not too happy with it. For me the perfect phone of today's generation would be a Samsung-customized android OS in a Sony hardware. C'mon Sony Xperia Z is overly appraised. Think twice.

It is always better to wait for few months before buying any newly launched high end phone because we will get to know about the true performance and feedback about it. Subsequently there will be firmware upgrades to address negative issues if any. The price drop also will be there!

Hold on guys. this is a PRE ORDER price. That means its artificially inflated for the few who wanna be the first to have it.
Leave it a week and it will settle to a much more managable price.
Just watch.

I was hoping to buy SGSIII but after seeding the specs of XZL i was very much impressed and i decided to wait till march. But on seeing the preorder at amazon i was shocked and now my mind slowly turns towards SIII. Sony has done a pretty good job by introducing these Z series. But if they want to make a breakthrough like SIII did in 2012 then they have to make their pricing around Rs.32000(India). Then i swear that this phone wil beat SIII 's record in 2013 quite much better. Sony pls think abt this. Now anyone tell me abt the availability and pricing of SIII I9305(2GB version). Thanks in advance!!!

The price on that baby is sky high! European retailers must have just came from the Moon to even think this will sell well at this price. Even the Galaxy Note II was cheaper when it hit retail (not just preorder), not mentioning it's recent hefty price drop.

Great! Where did you get those microscopic eyes so that you can differentiate between pentile and true RGB by just looking into the screen?
