iphone 5 is about the same price. some even offer it at the 800+ euro level. galaxy s3 is way cheaper. i can't afford xperia z for now so i will have to wait for a few months until the price drops.

i want sony to be successful with the xperia z but somehow i also would welcome it if they fail so they can dramatically lower the price. that's really some steep price there. they're really serious about saying that they want to be a premium smartphone provider. premium in specs and looks but also premium in price.

Oh please, Samsung fans keep your comments out.If one can spend that price for that device one should buy, and be fair every one has right for their opinion,as I don't want to spend 650 Usd on plastic device i rather pay 850 Usd and buy this glass beauty ,yes after saving and buying your device come will go for a swim.

A €650 price at launch usually means €500-550 after a few months...

There's no doubt there will be a PenTile screen in SGS 4 if it comes with an OLED display. And it is no doubt PenTile is worse from a true RGB.

Wow! That is one expensive phone! 869USD!!
S3 when it was brand spanking new was what? $650 or thereabouts.
May now be having second thoughts about buying one. That is some serious cash.
