With a lease it means you have a contract with the freeholder so running away is not an option.....jeez some people on here are so uninformed their ignorance is shocking!

I see nothing wrong in Sony's decision as it will bring much needed fund for them without raising further debts!
One thing which I cannot understand that how can they treat the profit on sales as operating revenue? When they are not generating it in the normal course of business! It will inflate the profits and mislead the investors! As per Indian Accounting Standards it should be treated as other income and not clubbed with operating revenue! May be they have different set of rules in Japan!

To name a few is the so-called Youm flexible display, the latest and probably the fastest Exynos 5250 processor and SSD's for servers to save 40% less energy consumption compared to current HHD's used as servers.
You'll be surprise in the announcement of SGS4 six months from now with all top guns in it having the Exynos 5250 processor.

Are u guys serious?
'sony is bankrupt' is such a lame statement to be made!
Its a simple business strategy followed by many companies!!
So whats the big deal?
Sony is playing it in a smarter way!
And please, sony is never ever gonna shut down! (atleast not before samsung) and they are on their way to rise again!
Those corporates managing the company are smarter than u! So stop speaking rubbish
