If you can not wait for the update, there is a cool hack to bypass the Microsoft server and get the update directly from the Nokia server. To do this, just follow the below mentioned steps:
1. Connect the device with Zune and click the “Update” link. This will start looking for the updates.
2. After 5-8 secs, just disconnect your PC from the internet and wait till the time it shows you a confirmation that an update is available.
3. Once the update version availability pops up in the screen, reconnect your PC with the internet and click “Update” to get the cumulative update.

> In reply to ObserverPh @ 2013-01-22 10:28 from P@1G - click to readThere you are wrong again. That's because there are NO other mapping system better than Nokia map for WP platform! Keyword: WP Users. Not other platforms users. Google Maps now is not even working well on the crappy IE10 mobile browser. Bing maps? Is just as cheesy as Nokia maps, or even worse than Nokia maps I would say. Especially when comes to other countries beside the US.
Believe it or not, I having a Lumia 820 as my backup phone. My day to day preferred phone is still GS3. Do you want proof that Nokia maps is really much lousy as compared to Google Map for my neighborhood? I can easily provide screen shots from both phones.

> In reply to ObserverPh @ 2013-01-22 10:12 from P@1G - click to read"Even WeChat on Wp..." Dude. On the WP only, yes, it has the most download. But not on other platforms. There is no way it can break the user based as compared to Whatsapp. I dunno what you have been smoking. But face the facts, Whatsapp is screwing up on Windoze Phone platform. Don't tell me that after the app works better after the portico update. Because portico update is to update the OS for filling in the gaps like keeping Wifi on during the phone sleeps, etc. And I have already been enjoying all these missing features on Android for so long. The update is not the app. I really have no idea where you get this idea from.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-01-22 05:56 from t7Xk - click to readYou are so shallow.... Do you think Google will not implement offline mode for maps too? Is it patented to be offline by Nokia? On the other hand, Nokia maps on WP is not even showing as much details as compared to Google Maps. I'm not seeing any block numbers along my neighborhood areas. Do you not know that block numbers are very important especially when you are searching for buildings? If Google is hiring the same group for their maps, then why Nokia maps are so inferior as compared to Google Maps?
What sense do you have actually.... Windoze Phone fans... tsk tsk tsk...
