The Stock drops because they just declared dividends where the company has reduced some of its retained earnings to pay back shareholders.

Even Mac magazines agree that Apple makes at least 400% on each iPhone it sells! Who knows what the mark-up on iPads can be?

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-01-24 09:40 from PGXj - click to readMore people prefer iPhones to Android. That simple. The iPhone is the most highly coveted phone of all. Everybody wants to have one. Even haters are secretly drooling over it. Apple doesn't even need to innovate. Just copy last year's iPhone and give it a new name suffix and it will still sell in millions. Only those that can't afford an iPhone go for a Galaxy.

I do not believe in these results, are concocted, esp when share fell 20%, analysis in nyse project long term. actually each iPhone costs 300$ max sells frd 800+ enormous profits. Somehow its become a niche market masr n china vietnam ad china. only name sells not product. Till then

Soo true where a $200 worth ipad mini sells at $330 and in components like HDD have a margin of 97% profits sales will b record breaking and for god sake now don't claim false accusations in court that samsung's products have effected their sales after this.

Well Q1 2013 has just started, so this is just a projection of Q1. Far from reality.

Not talking about iFans who just buy wat ever iphones .. the volume of sales is in the millions.. i doubt apple have that much ifans; those are everyday consumers.

Have the thought of 'Worth it' ever cross your mind?

As for android phones .. how many of android users upgrade from s2 to s3 (or even s3 to note2) and now eagerly awaiting s4?

Most iphone users upgrade once per 2 yrs..

Think who spend more..?

Aaaand again those useless "analysts" are way off with their predictions. I just can't stress enough how fake this worthless job is. Yet still, they get paid a lot of cash for this made up data forecasting. I see Apple products are getting cheaper - revenue up by roughly 8 billion, iPhone and iPad sales up, yet, profits exactly the same.
