I cried when I heard this. All my phones (N97, 5230, X6, 5800 XpressMusic) all are now dead. Doesn't matter if it hadn't succes. It had a lot of things. Now, that Android rule the world. Symbian was very rich when it appeared. Today I still use my S60v5 phone. It's more simple. Rest in peace, my Symbian!

RIP Symbian. I still have my NGage, my first phone. Love it, million times more than my S2.. will keep it for ever. I still switch it on once in a while and it works :-)

If there was a symbian running on 1ghz dual cores, 1gb ram, and a good gpu. Atleast. Can compete in mid range.

Such a shame. Best mobile OS. Had Nokia 7650, 6600,6630, N73, N82, N8 and now proud owner of 808 PV. I also have Lumia 800 and can tell you, first hand, it can only wish it is as half as good as symbian. Only advantage is it's fulidity. And that's all.

I am also using Nokia 808 and I knew that today will come soon for Symbian but still love my phone. Now Symbian already dead, I wonder if Nokia can make their all their Symbian Supporter by Changing OS like Nokia did with N9. It would be great if Nokia can bring us to WP or Android

nokia was the best but nokia bussiness development is terrible,so dumb and blind.its just a pity that nokia will be unable to compete with IOS or ANDROID until they eventually make a giant step. embrace the andriod platform that could possibly be your out of this shit.
