Huawei is originally made in China.

If anybody sell a Huawei phone made in Japan, that must be an imitation unit. LOL!

I am starting to really like the huawei phones, they really are quality for the price they ask. I just hope they manage to improve the quality a bit more as it is a little lacking.

Now i am wondering where the other manufacturers are, why are they not up near the top. the likes of LG and Sony and all the other great big manufacturers. Surely they have a large enough budget to see where the market is going like Huawei and Samsung, surely they can produce some good pieces of kit that will challenge the likes of Huawei, i mean come on huawei is a Chinese brand that has always been knows as a cheap manufacturer and they are beating all of the known manufacturers hands-down. I suspect it is because huawei is releasing cheap devices with all the bells and whistles you get from the more expensive phones.

Or are the other manufacturers waiting for the market to settle before they take a chance, if they are it is backfiring as huawei is coming from nowhere to make a very good name for themselves, far better then HTC and ZTE and all the other failing Chinese manufacturers.

apple are not innovative anymore. same phones nothing new. thats the problem every new phone samsung make is different hence why they are the market leaders. To be honest apple will further until they create a new design phone.

Nokia made 2 fundimental blunders.

1. People in the states generally don't like Nokia.
2. People outside the states generally don't like Microsoft (buggy slow etc).

If Nokia had gone for Android I'd have bet my last £5 that they would now be in the top 5 smartphone vendors. 808 Pure View HW + Android OS would be top dog.

shame on you Nokia and Stephen elop. just see where your efforts have brought nokia.. out of the league. .. feels pitty on the owner of Nokia. that still elop is the CEO of the company.. from 2005 till 2011 I only bought Nokia. N8 was my last nokia.. still hv N8 as my secondary phone. but recently purchased Samsung Galaxy Note II. .. and im loving it.. Note II is beast no other phone in the market stands high in front of Note II.

> In reply to [deleted post]How is he blind, Nokia is not on the list of last quarters top smartphone manufacturer. But you obviously have a problem with both vision and intelligence.

Its interesting how Nokia fell out of the top smartphone manufacturers for last quarter despite rumors of WP8 selling well. But as i said, RUMORS... =)

Im happy to Sony at #4, but i am afraid its mostly low end Androids, i believe the only higher end Sony selling real well is the Xperia V, and it came so late last quarter, but for sure the V made a serious impact, its not often a phone get so many good reviews, beauty and LTE and toughness and good user experience in one and the same package, the V is surely one of the top10 best phones of 2012.

> In reply to - SiTdOwN - @ 2013-01-25 22:07 from Mfxa - click to readI also had N9. Loved N900 and Meamo5, but N9 is a POS and MeeGo is another POS. I bought the N9 to replace my Xperia Pro but it had no advantages, only weak signals all over the line, both cellular and wifi signal levels are far below acceptable levels, in addition to being a weird plastic build with a small battery inside and a crappy pentile display that makes small fonts unreadable. Its so bad built that Nokia had to drastically lower the speaker volume to prevent N9 from falling apart on its own. Theres nothing good about N9, very unworthy successor of the great N900.

> In reply to Abdul9 @ 2013-01-26 07:24 from nb%d - click to readYeah, HTC is to blame for most of Androids negative reputation, lets hope this crappy brand soon will be bought by a serious company and that its dirty name is washed away from Androids reputation.

I dont hav words to describe how bad phones HTC make, by far the worst i had since 1993. I had already decided that Android was garbage without right to life, thanks to HTC. Lucky for me i decided to give SE Xperia Pro a chance, didnt take long before i realized that Android was both stable and had ok performance (Xperia Pro is only a 1GHz single core Scorpion but performance is good, would like to see WP8 running well on hardware like that).

The thing is, first time android buyers often go for HTC, they think its good build and good designs, so whenever an iphone user decides to give Android a try he will most often get a HTC, and then surely he will get a one sided negative impression of android, just like me some years ago.

This list will keep on growing and then a sorting order other than popularity will be called for.

Two year ago, Huawei said that for 2012/2013 they would be the 3rd or 4th phone maker in the market.

Seems like they made it.
Now they want a bigger slice of cake for 2015

I think change is always good. We already have window os on desktop, laptops & its ok to have that on Tablets but seriously no from me to have it on Cell phones.

Android is offering real power to cell phones with lot to do. With nice android device from any brand you will never fill alone even if u r alone. Great games, application & other net conductivities always ready to entertain u.

As well i really like this os name "Android" over any other os names. Its indicating power of its power :)
