It's still a great handset. One drawback though - Samsung forgot to update the resolution to a nice 1280x720. It might have been a part of some "Galaxy S III selling" marketing strategy but in my eyes it's a disqualification.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus is not a successor to the Samsung Galaxy S2 as it's stated in the article, it's probably a replacement for it. The successor of the Galaxy S2 is the Galaxy S3.

Hmm... just checked the specs and price:
- Phone is 1:1 copy, except for the chipset which is Broadcom and not Exynos like in original (performance might even be worse than original!)
- I converted 475 USD to 356 EUR and visited a price comparison page in EU and for original i9100 I must pay around 330 EUR!
So what's the point in this phone?
Scamsung are u 4real?
They really can't stop scamming people or what !!!
:(

Tell me the difference to Nokia XM 5800 and all other Nokia models at that time, besides the N97. They all looked alike. What about the iPhone 4 and the 4S? What about iPhone 3G and 3GS? Basically they all do the same thing, but some here are just some big fanboys and deny it, that their beloved brand aint any better.

I think calling this phone the successor of original Galaxy S2 is not right. Maybe more of a brother-from-another-mother. Successor of S2 is S3.

Can't wait for this review, been waiting for the release of the phone for around a year and now that it is here, I want to know how it is and if it is a major improvement from the original. Most importantly can you see if Samsung made the display better by making it last longer and if they put a decent DAC into it, cause audio was horrible on the original.

The only different is the internal memory is only 8GB.
S2 plus should be cheaper than original S2.
In my opinion, Samsung should have never released such variation model that it would confuse the end users.
