As someone already said or should i say asked. What extra benefit do i get from buying such a phone? At least with Wp you know you have free offline "worldwide" navigation, all the nokia extras if you buy a nokia devices.... With android you get googlemaps and all the google services with high specs.... The only thing i can compare this to is iphone cos there you pay more than half the price for the apple brand. Rim no i didn't expect you to go that way and here i thought you had a chance to make MS get serious!

i don't belive it! I was really rooting for bb, but i guess they don't need my sort of people (those without huge expendable income) with these sort of prices! I quit bb! Think i'll move to windows- not much of an app-roid fan.

That over priced, blackberry havnt considered their failure, yes they will because I can't imagine myself paying such for a phone I know nothing about, the existing OS is a failure now some thing new and alien that's bull shit.

If this leak is true and it pretty much seems accurate, RIM is failing and will have a hard time selling phones with the competition they have now. My next device will be the Sony Xperia Z for sure even if the phone seems a bit big

this company is making a stupid moves.if the price is gonna that high, what is the consumers benfits? platforms,or display or walkman or camera or processors. they are just selling black berry messeger BBM, where now people can subtitutes to whatapp, yahoo messeger.only stupid people will buy that unless RIMincludes on or those above top hardware or platforms.

Unless it's a samdung lagdroid device you can rest assured tech sites will publish the wrong information.

VAT = Value added Tax, which is 20% in the UK

ergo, VAT=0.20x480 = £96
cost to the retailer is £384 (480-96)
converted to USD = $605 ( 384 GBP / 0.633702 GBP )

Still way too expensive, but a bit less than the $750 being reported on some sites.

The iPhone is priced at £599 in the UK so I don't know why some people are so surprised over the price for the new Z10. It's still £100 less than the iPhone 5.

Its not what the hardware, normally denominated in hype arm cpu's that matters but the software. Only blackberry os is certified to be used in secure government transactions including the US federal government because they have their own secured system. Can you have that with android, microsoft, and ios? android has powerful arm cpu that goes out every 6 months. microsoft has lower specs arm cpu. apple has the lowest in terms of all hardware specs but has the pluto far away overhype advertisements and platinum price for a piece of shit. You bet samsung phones is just as overhyped as any apple product. but nobody cares about it. just the mainstream poor and marginalized people like all those all of you out there who thinks their genesis coupe turbo is as fast and as luxurious as the bugati veyron
