that is why you have to deduct that calculation of yours with how much you will spend for a SIMILAR phone network service (WITH 2 years CONTRACT) from ANOTHER provider
then you can make a more reasonable comparison

The person could of get the same phone SIM free without contract in many parts of the world for much less.

The US really do get ripped off with their phone prices. You can get a Note II for free in the UK on a 2 year contact with 600mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of data for £29pm including all taxes. Thats less than $48pm.

> In reply to kham @ 2013-01-28 20:39 from fBhm - click to readSuggest you read the article carefully, the phone at this price requires 2 years contract with Sprint in US, which costs customers about at least $70 per month.
US$70 x 12 = $840, plus $99 for the phone, makes the phone US$939.
I think most parts of the world can get the SIM free version without contract for at least US$200 less.

You never see Apple's flagship iPhone discounted until a new one is out. This really cheapens the line. Makes it seem like it's selling better than iPhone because it's CHEAPER

This deal has been going on for over a month now. I brought 2 phones (Wife and I) on this deal leaving Verizon going to Sprint. Not sure why this is "new" news

I think it is pretty bad that this could be posted in such a large international blog and then part of it be untrue. I am on with Amazon Wireless customer service who is telling me existing customers pay full price at $249.99 instead of the $199.99 that the article states. GSMArena should blast Amazon for not honoring the price if that is what they stated or print a retract and take a black eye if this was incorrectly researched and reported. Either way that is sad.
