Again i am not a fan of Samsung or any brand but i will surely prefer Samsung then Sony. For me No to HTC & Apple but still this is just for helping users to decide good phone for money they are paying.

See still if any users wants to compare Announced Sony Z to Upcoming Samsung S4 then think over this points too...

Design : S4 design & material type is not yet disclosed so may be u r comparing Z with old Samsung devices which is wrong. May be u r guessing right but why not wait till Samsung is going to announce S4 officially.

Water/ Dust Proof : I think UN-needed features which increases the cost of phone. I will prefer Sony Z without this features by reducing its price. I used many phones b4 & i really don't face any problem due to dust or water & peoples are going crazy for this features just bcoz this is new but i am sure that after using this device they will come to know that this is unwanted feature. I think Sony have to put its money on more useful features.

As well Sony Z is only with 16gb & 32gb & even if some user thinks its a good enough i am really not happy. With 13mp cam, hd recording, hd screen u really need good memory back up as full hd videos & movies really takes much memory & with good applications, games, songs, videos, movies & other stuff we soon falling into a low memory problem.

No barometer for for Sony z which really helps the GPS chip inside the device get a faster lock by instantly delivering altitude data which i think is a good feature to have on big screen devices for navigation we used most of the time.

Other features going to be the same for upcoming phones from other brands but we need performance & quality of those features like Screen type, processor power, Cam clarity, Call clarity , Battery Endurance so i think its good if we wait at least till S4 is going to release & GSMArena going to compare those.

What have been shown at CES and varibale reviews has got me hooked. Still a hands on is required of course.
But I'm confident it will be sweet!

I would like to see how it compares to the future SGS IV. I don't think that Samsung can squeeze a 1080p Amoled display in a 5 inch screen. This phone will be very hard to beat on specs (water resistant, 13MP Exmor camera, cool design). SGS IV might have an octo-core processor, but being such a new technology might not work as expected, and also the price should be quite high for it.
