Playing with my mate's new 3G version now in Australia, its ok, does lack a few things, which he doesn't like talking about. Haha. Anyway, I probably would have got one too, but I just can't do it after hearing about the Samsung Omnia - wow. The SE Xperia X1 may run it close though.

i wont go for the iphone 3g, it lack features that i needed like message forwarding, no flash, no camera zoom, bluetooth can only be use for headset you cannot transfer contacts, videos, pictures etc using its bluetooth, you have to have a computer to be able to sync your videos, photos etc from your pc to your iphone which is quite expensive and hassle on our part. :-(

I had the original Iphone and I ended up selling it BECAUSE of its extremely poor speakerphone and one other reason. I know that sounds stupid but even w/ the speakerphone on I had to hold the phone up to my ear to hear it while in my car driving which was something I did not want to have to do. It also lacks the ability for running programs in the background which is another downer for me because I like to use a chat program and just leave it running throughout the day.
