ATT uses LTE bands 4 and 17 I believe, European operators mostly use 3 and 7. That's why there is differ iPhone 5 versions. You may not be able to use the UK handset for the US on LTE networks.

I loved my old SE Xperia. However I'm not happy with the new designs. Look too much "chin" and "forehead" making the phone longer than necessary for my pocket. Other brands try so hard to push the screen as far towards the edge as they can! One brand is even testing wraparound and folding screens. The Xperia designs now are impractical, and a longish device today is ugly.

You can ask it in the forums if you cant find it and you want yo be sure of what I'm saying.
