just follow the step until finish...
i had updates several of my smartphone myself via kies and there isn't problem at all....

Galaxy S II Jelly Bean Official Update.

Can I update it by my own via Samsung Kies or is it better to go to Service Centres?

Any risk in updating by my own?

Meh.. I can wait :)
What pisses me off though is the difference in worldwide feature availability. Germany got "floating video" for SII and Note with ICS update whereas Poland did not. I own an unlocked handset so I'm not carrier subsidized or dependent, yet I still get lesser updates. Why is there any difference in software depending on where a user happens to live, even across the EU!? I get a slight whiff of discrimination.

I have got 2 samsung galaxy S III. One is international version ans second is under contract with telecom new zealand. International version is now updated with JB 4.1.2 but second one still running JB4.1.1.
What should i do?

and only till now ace/tab is getting jellybean update (proj butter to make it smooth).

But back to topic, i have a tab 7.7 .. tried a jb cm10... i still cant see smoothness ;(.

Have a feeling quad core is required for smoothness in jb.

So with next phone im goin with asus ...they can provide updates faster and they arent so greedy ... Ye sure samm sell more note 2 instead updating first one...

its been a while since 4.1 and 4.2 as well are available for the SII, but in a custom or aokp rom...
if you depend on the companies to make the official update, you´re gonna wait forever and sometimes, not get the newest one. Thats why I really enjoy having an android phone.

Few month back i went to the phone shop with purposse to chese one shop manager, when hi saw my phone in android he was freaked out he was so much in love with my phone that he ofered me option for iphone4s or sg2 in exchange...asking me if i em kind of nokia special agent that i'm spying in android phones or something...
