Your first part was OK, and I would rate you up too, but then you start to bash S3 for all the wrong reasons and I was like LOL!
S3 only getting bug fixes with 4.1 update, really??? S3 got that update months ago?
What about the premium pack for S3 and Note2 with tons of new features that XT will never see? S3 is a great phone, but a bit too pricey for me.
I'm a SGS1 user and my next phone will probably be a mid-ranger from Sony.
Give credit where credit is due!

> In reply to jojosjosh @ 2013-02-04 12:08 from P%uS - click to readConsidering how ALL 2011 Xperias have been pretty much side-lined with a buggy ICS update, I cannot disagree with you more.
Sony has had over half a year to fix the issues (buggy wifi, GUI lags, mono sound recording on video when it's supposed to be stereo etc), with constant requests for updates on the Sony Mobile forums.
There's been nothing. And the Xperia Arc S is in the same buggy boat. And what's a slap in the face is that the Arc S was the Sony (Ericsson) flagship back in its day. You'd think that Sony would at least get the (ICS) OS stable for it. Not like the owners are asking for Jelly Bean.
But no. Here we are 6 months later, not holding our breath (pretty much expecting ALL 2011 phones to become the next Xperia Play: no updates from now on).

samsung updates frequently. WHY? they rush things during update that makes their phone unstable. the frequent updates are more of bug fixes.
sony updates occasionally. BUT it is focused more on improvements and additional features which results to a stable phone and better android experience. there may be bug fixes however, the amount of bugs present may be minimal compared to samsung phones. lol
Quality of updates > Quantity of updates.

What about Tipo who got stuck on ICS, or Play who got stuck on Gingerbread. Samsung is doing far better with updates than Sony... If you want the ultimate update experience then get a Nexus. Check out Samsung flagship the S3 who got Jelly Bean ages ago (3 months after release) and Sony's flaghship gets it just now lol...

We got Smart Rotation, Multiview, Group Cast, we can use pop-up browser, awesome low light mode for the cam (with no noise in the pictures because it takes 5 shots then combines the best result), and a lot smoother experience. No other phones have these features, S3 RULES

> In reply to emadshiny @ 2013-02-04 09:09 from pT6m - click to readCan't agree with you or him. But it's true that Samsung has on occasions launched very flawed Android updates, now last time the 4.1.2 for note 2, it gave different problems in different regions and was only now fixed with two new updates. 4.1.1 was much better than 4.1.2, an update that should never have come out. My now 2 became allow and unstable and in other regions they had serious battery drains.

I Have A Sony Xperia Play and A Xperia T am Glad sony have finally decided to release JB update for the xperia T, but Sadly I must admit that the Xperia T is a rubbish phone 13 megapixel camera and its still no way as good as the sgs3, The screen does not give good dark contrast of colours when watching a movie. I hope this updates fixes the Xperia T each image is only 2mb and for a 13 megapixel camera it seems very limited.
