My non-biased verdict of winners:

For the best smartphone category, the rankings should be:

1. Nokia Lumia 920
2. Samsung Galaxy Note 2
3. Apple iPhone 5
4. Samsung Galaxy S III
5. HTC Droid DNA

For the best tablet:

1. Apple iPad with retina display
2. Apple iPad Mini
3. Asus Transformer Infinity
4. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
5. Google Nexus 7

Lumia 920. Please remember that its a fight of smartphones and not OS. Nokia wins it hands down.

I phone doesn't even stand a chance it's nowhere close not doesn't even make in the top 10 winners would be Samsung s3 or HTC butterfly and ya by the way people who own apple get a life

what does smartphone mean if not features rich and good specs? the phone with best specs and best apps/features should win. if not for the apps/features, specs they wouldn't be smartphones nokia in my opinion low specs, not many apps/features, iphone decent specs, overpriced, lots of apps but poor features, note 2 best specs very rich in features and apps. ladyes and gentleman you have your winner. It is clearly the best and i don't even own a s3 or a note 2. you have to be closed minded to not see this. it's funny how some people think nokia actually has a chance, this also goes for iphone. the people that will judge this are not where they are because they are sheep minded zombies. they understands the concept of a smartphone and you will see it's gonna be s3 or note 2 or at least htc.

2013 Winner will be New Upcoming samsung galaxy S4. For year 2012, the winner was Samsung galaxy s3.

Now S3 had all these options, romavable battery, microSD slot up to 64gb, optional internal memory of 16,32 or 64gb. S3 also had a better camera and battery life compared to HTC ONE X, i havnt really check with optimus 4X.

NOw in the features side, htc or LG brought nothing new, where as S3 brought in features such as smart stay, pop up play, s-voice, call blocker etc.

In short, S3 had all the basic needs people want?

Wp can not win without the hoards of features. I have a wp but it is far far behind Android and iPhone in terms of features

They can not build lightweight fine thin wp, it has the old specifications and are not HD

I just dont care which device is the winner, NOTE2 has already won my heart.

One of the biggest contender is Sony xperia Z
it gives best camera, fantastic built quality quad core processor and latest design as wel as fantastic user interface with the best screen and the famous bravia engine.
