Statistics from Norways biggest carrier shows that Xperia V is the 5th most sold phone in January 2013. They also said that Sony is the brand with highest growth compared to earlier sales figures.

Bezelbub Lumia 920 is down on on 9th place, and thats NOT due to supply shortages, this carrier has exclusive deals with Nokia and is the only carrier to sell Lumia 920 with "guaranteed" LTE enabled firmware, and get all the exclusive 920s they need. All colors been in stock the whole time. Anyway, no surprise that 920 cannot compete with Xperia V.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-02-05 14:10 from v0qJ - click to read25k is cheap with official sony philippines warranty, its below the SRP from Sony Ph, which is well above 26k.
Its best to stay away from thjose instore warranty stores, there are good reasons why its cheaper, could end up far more expensive and updates seem to never come for samsungs bought in those stores. For example, Note 2 from Samsung Philipines was among the first to get Android 4.1.2 and 2 other updates after that to fix the exynos vulnerability and other stability and performance issues, those who bought instore warranty units still didnt get 4.1.2 and much less the other two updates. Bad deals then. i will be happy to pay 4000 more to get a phone from Sony Ph. If i cant afford that then i probably cant afford an Xperia V anyway.

> In reply to pux @ 2013-02-05 10:38 from S37f - click to readThere aren't carrier specific phones in India. The sales and availability is governed by Sony India itself, and their distributors. Competition is high, and if Sony-India does not "release" (make available for buying), it does not go up for sale anywhere.

Heres some facts:
SONY does not "release" their phones. Carriers and electronic stores CHOOSE to RANGE products. Of course SONY would like to see their phones in every store in every country. But it is not up to them.
So stop with the stupid comments about SONY not "releasing" phones to different markets.

There has always been queries regarding this phone, but Sony merely asks the customers to contact the local sony dealership, always ending up with very diplomatic answers. is there a reason why Sony has chosen not to release this phone in all markets?

The phone hasn't even RELEASED in most parts of the world!! Sony's marketing and customer satisfaction strategy is pathetic. What's the point in releasing updates when the phone isn't even available ??!! It was announced 6 MONTHS back and still hasn't RELEASED in markets? What nonsense !!!
