Apple to allegedly lose rights to the iPhone name in Brazil

"...... seven years before Apple launched its hugely popular smartphone of the same name."
Why not sue them back for using your registered name?
It means extra income for your company, let Apple sell their products in Brazil and they'll pay royalties to you Gradiente Electronica SA.
Cheers!

People pay 50-60k US dollars for cars that can be bought in US for 25-30k US dollars. Or 100k for cars that are sold in US for 40k. Same with big macs, clothes, computers, everything, el cheapo chinese "hiphones"...
Didn't you read the news? It's not just goods, government as well. Brazilians like to be exploited. I lived there 2 years so I know.

If Samsung Buy Gradiente(They have money for do it) they get the name iPhone.
Samsung would be the greatest troll.
Apple can do it too.
I'll eat my popcorn and watch the begining of a new war.

Over the years Apple's iPhone is in the market and there was none who contested any claim on the name, and now they are a full blown business then suddenly this Brazilian company will come and claim something they say they own. Android or iOS whatever side you were, I think this is just too much to ruin things. That Brazilian company is a clown.

Error childish! A Brazilian court has to force her to withdraw from all Apple devices from stores without paying royalty rights, pay for every year they used the name of the product in Brazil! Has no place a company of this size only bothering to appear in the media with patent surreal and moreover taste of own medicine!
