Each processor maybe only run 200mhz.

What do you think about another Quad phone?
When you browsing or music it's still "Quad core" right?

Imagine S3 battery life when just browsing and music with "only" A9 based architecture. Battery life is very good.

What happen if use A7 based architecture?

Just curious...what were you all doing prior to smart phones? And why you need a quad core-eigh core processor? Are we not talking about a cell phone? I visit this site and every damn time you are all fighting over which company is best...IT'S A CELL PHONE! You don't own the company and you are not sponcered by the companies...everyone needs to chill the hell out, life's too short.

i think the fact we need 8 cores is said as much as i hate to say we could a thing or two from apple still would never buy apple

Mali is not processor. Mali is GPU.

8 Core cpu is gimmick.
Practically it's 4 core A15 and 4 core A7.

It's not working together. 4 core A15 used when play gaming or whatever who need power and if just browsing music call or whatever it will be switch to 4 core A7.

A7 based processor very2 good at battery life

wow samsung need to chill octa core did they fix the battery my s3 takes to long to charge and does not last long its all good 2013 is the year of options windows phone seem to be getting better bb just came back with a preatty good os also coming tizen jolla which runs android apps firefox coming out wit ther own os so things looking good cause things

The 8 core exynos processor will end all lagg in android it will crash apples a6 useless processor and the galaxy s4 will be the smooth king

Perhaps you haven't heard that this octa core processor is based on ARM's big little architecture which pairs four bigARM A-15 with four little A-7 to execute high intensity & low intensity tasks in the most power efficient manner .

i really dont think samsung should go for more core at this point i think ther battery should battery should be fix my s3 takes 4 hours to charge not touching it while my n8 Takes two hours n and the battery is better in every way on my n8 one thing all phones need to have wireless charging n b water proof at this point i dont think my phone needs more cores then my cpu

Today's octacores are two quad-cores - one for high cpu needs and the other for power saving. Think of it as a Toyota Prius switching between its gasoline engine and electric motor depending on current requirement. That's how 8 cores have longer battery life.
