8 cores!! come to pappa!! why 8 cores? cause the battery last longer and better performance!! oohh, but 4 is enough...enough but a while ago 2 cores were enough for some people..ooohh, but, no buts, not only samsung, other companies will follow this new standard cause tech never stops...dual core was a standard, quad is a standard, 8 will be and so on..as long as tech is going forward, there will be faster and better processors..if they can, for the same price or less like in this case, they will do it..why would I choose four instead of 8 if I can make it..people want better soft, performance, battery etc, thats what more cores are supposed to do, thats what we want and this phone will be futureproof...

So how can we misunderstood this bigLITTLE thing of yours?

Well...let us be honest for a moment. I had the old HTC windows mobile (Freezing most of the times), Blackberry Bold and Storm (Sucks and hangs most of the times), iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S (Elegant but useless...You can almost do nothing, just listening to music and playing games), and Galaxy S3 (not elegant and fancy....it is same as a motorbike, very handy and useful, it is almost same as a mini PC....it is fast and much more less laggy than iPhone....it is a kind of mobile business tool)

The amount of haters commenting on this is insane. ost of whom are "apple fanboys". They all claim it is an ugly design which is just constantly churned out, hmmmmm iphones are different how??? The iphone 5 is by far one of the ugliest phones and biggest flops there has been....why??? Because it was just a stretched iphone 4 with no alterations. The iphone 4 was quite a nice phone with its dimensions. Apple is beginning to show it was a one man company now that all Steve Jobs' projects have been issued. Apple just churn out old technology and just put a big shiny name title to it in the hope it proves to be successful. The S4 will revolutionise the smartphone in the way the Iphone 3 did.

Samsung are developing their products so much faster than everyone else and only Apple "fanboys" don't see it this as they look through their apple glasses. The iphone is now an outdated piece of equipment end of!!

> In reply to - SiTdOwN - @ 2013-02-06 15:54 from Mfxa - click to readthats your opinion, just because the design is ugly to u doesnt mean the 40+ million S3 users have the same opinion as u.

Bad Battery life? From analyzing your comment it sounds like you never owned a galaxy s3 or note 2 before? Cause my S3 is doing just fine for my needs.

And whats funny is my S3 barely laggs, even though i admit it laggs sometimes, its still not enough to stop me from my daily needs as 95% of the time it does not lagg. Lagg is probably the least issue for me...But since ur an apple fanboy ull just mention that lagg probably happens everytime?

And your saying without apps android is nothing? oh really? being able to send files through bluetooth and not needing itunes sucks? Being able to play emulators for snes, ps1, gameboy, nintendo games sucks? Waterproof sucks? Alot of choices for file sharing sucks? features such as split screen, lock screen, stylus, costumized homescreens, widgets sucks? USB on the go sucks? yeah i can go on forever

Without apps, apple is just... an apple? that barely does anything but make phone calls and text messaging.

It's similar to an equalizer in music. You use bass enhancement to make the music more appealing to your needs, while others prefer the sound the way it was recorded without using any equalizers.

> In reply to C.M.D @ 2013-02-06 16:02 from sp1Y - click to readWhy don't people ever understand what bigLITTLE is? No, these eight cores will save MORE battery than ANY quad-core phone made by Samsung.

It's practically a quad-core phone, there are four A15 cores and 4 A7 cores, they don't work together to make an octa-core power, but they switch between themselves. You use the four A15 cores for high processing and you use the four A7 cores for battery saving. The processing power is NO different than any quad-core phone. Samsung's idea is to save BATTERY not introduce more cores. It's similar to what Intel did in some of their I7 processors.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-02-06 15:52 from m7KR - click to readWhat about the battery capacity..? The ability to keep it in use for the entire day without having a charge plugging.

Based on what Sony has been churning out extensively, the batteries aren't enough. Yes, I can understand the benchmarks and all, but my case is the battery lasting you till the evening like the powerful Note II lasting me up to 16 hours with Internet on, with 20% still left to spare.

I like the waterproof, the mini HDMI Sony has been integrating, but not the short lived fixed low capacity batteries that they are incorporating. That's the point in trying get at.

One day will come when these mobiles will have more core than high-end servers. No one in any forum, websites are talking about mobile phones basic purpose like in-call voice quality, clarity and loudness, ease to give and accept calls etc etc. Guys are we buying mobile phones now a days?
