I hope they fix the amoled blacks this time around. I've noticed that the higher pixel density amoled screens equate pretty directly to the blacks looking more and more grey as the PPI goes up.

Original 480res galaxyS and S2 almost look like the screen is off even in a pitchblack room.
The samsung produced smoled screen on the HTConeV is 540res and looks a little more grey, but still hard to tell.
GS3 720res looks quite grey in a pitchblack room..about as grey as a decent LCD when the brightness is lowest.
Note2 is a tiny bit more grey, I was suprised by this seeing as the PPI should be lower due to the bigger screensize..then I remembered that it's still higher PPI because it's full RGB instead of pentile.

Following this pattern, I fear for the contrast on small fullHD amoled screens. I don't see the point in blowing past 300PPI anyway; your eyes won't be able to tell and it'll make the device struggle a little more. Worse batterylife, speed, contrast, and more expensive to produce. 1080 is great for tablets or any device sized where 1080 hits that sweetspot of 290-340PPI, but anything more is simply wasted.

Hell, my Nexus 4 is plugged into my laptop at the moment keeping the battery topped up :P

5 inch man...even a guy like me with big hands...5 inch is too big! Not to mention, everyone can read everything on my screen. Need privacy on my phone!

Please don't moan about pentile on S3. I don't know if it is worse than RGB or not but you can't see pixels so does it matter?. you are like the people who bash normal cars for not being hybrids, while in the meantime some cars are just as friendly and even friendlier to the environment, but you will keep moaning because it is not a hybrid. At 300+ ppi you can't see any difference in quality between i5 screen and s3 screen, s3 screen looks better because there is more real estate.

> In reply to Teknoholik @ 2013-02-06 22:17 from KSid - click to readUhh not really. I believe galaxies could have been phones just as big as the iphone, it would still better the iphone AND other phones overall because of its price:worth ratio.

Samsung's products are reasonably priced because you get your money's worth(if not better)....all, if not most of their products are priced as such.

Anyone who has owned ANY samsung product, from a cash register to a washing machine, from a tv to a smartphone, can have that bragging right.

You get your money's worth which DOES NOT MEAN IT IS CHEAP but reasonably priced.

Anyways, I do get what you're trying to say though. I think most of them are not high school drop outs but are in fact still in high school or even elementary school, thats just my 2 cents where that is concerned.

As for the screen, the sgs3 screen is good, so is the note 2, so was the note and the sgs2. I'm not really a fan of high res display, so high that I cant notice it from something with a little lower res lol.
