Hi,
Will this Ubantu os gonna hit all Galaxy Nexus Phones across the globe including India?
And will it be OTA? and can we change back the os to android once updated to Ubantu?

and I believe ubuntu on android is possible as well since both are linux based; anyways that is if a developer decides to spend time on it.

in my sentiment ubuntu is not a very good os like windows and android..i use ubuntu on my pc and its boring and very complex to understand..its not user friendly so i remove it and using windows 7...but we see in future how ubuntu perform on mobiles...

A large number of qwality apps apps apps apps and QUALITY apps , camera and highest graphics
if any mobile os can have these powers then it can eesily defeat compatitor mOS , android is not a god ,
but yes android need compatitor mobile OS which have more hardware and graphical and camera supportiblity ,, otherwise soon i would like to see PC OS on running on mobile phones.
But yes why intell is not make peoples fool like others are doing by giving there Os , i hope they are the one who can eesily kick Andoid in garbage in future.

But the kernel are totally different from Android and Ubunto, and Google will not see with good eyes this.
Remeber Android is fro free distribution BUT Google stills own the OS, and I see Ubuntu can be stronger than WP in some ways, but not in all.
And Windows Desktop is totally different history from Windows Phone as Android mobile is from Linux desktop, I sincerely don´t see an bright future in Ubuntu Mobile OS from now, maybe in a near future, but Android is very strong to be bypassed so quick by Canonical and remembre Ubuntu is even not very popular between Linux-Hard users that they consider Ubuntu as "Linux Bastard" or "Unix for Dummies"
Hmmmm..fragmented since now from inside Linux users???

and Since Ubuntu on mobile uses Android kernels and drivers (as Mark Shuttleworth said) so if you have android on your phone then you can have Ubuntu ! and since Ubuntu is open source like Android , I think at least Ubuntu has more chances than WP to grow!

I like ubuntu as a desktop OS. Bought a samsung series 3 laptop last year october with windows 7 home premium and I installed ubuntu on top of it. In terms of smoothness ubuntu runs better overall(takes less ram and fewer background processes etc). But some drivers and software(especially the preinstalled samsung software) are not compatible. So in terms of overall compatibility windows wins.

microsoft and apple wont let it happen, bcoz apple wants all profit from software and hardware, and microsoft simply bcoz WP are not appealing enough to mass consumers without nokia cameras and hardware
