Just say RIMM is pulling out till further notice. Companies do this all the time. If it becomes economically feasable to reenter the Japanese market in the future you bet RIMM will be back in. It's a business, people.

This is wise decision. They will not stand a chance to challenge Sony HQ. Xperia Z will be hit in Japan and if Blackberry come to japan.
Those japan people is clever, they will not buy new blackberry with just some little apps.
More than 70000 apps is just a bullshit.

And did you miss the news about British retailers have no idea what BB is talking about, the socalled "sold out" white Z10 is still available in abundance.
In Scandinavia people will look like a questionmark if you start talking about Blackberry. I never seen one here.

Sorry for my comment.
But to be a successful smartphone maker in the world, you must make your product available world wide. See Apple & Samsung.

If they regain momentum in other markets, then they could go back to Japan and try to catch up. Right now it's simply not worth it. Well played.
