Samsung Omnia about to hit the shelves, coming with a free Xbox 360

Just got back from the local MediaWorld store here in Italy. The offer is legit. (One learns to be sceptical about such things.) I was leaning toward the i900 regardless. So the offer was neither here nor there on the decision balance. The important thing is: the phone is being released. You fill out a reservation card. The store keeps part and you keep part. You put no money down until you come in to buy the phone. After you buy the phone you go to a web site with your reservation code from the card you fill out at the store to confirm the purchase. Then the Xbox 360 gets shipped.
One caveat: it's an "Xbox 360 Arcade". I'm not a gamer, so I don't know the difference.

They need to bring out a phone before the competition instead of showing it off and waiting a year to get it out. Shame, I was a devout P series fan at one point, now they are a dying breed. I have no phone at the moment and need one ASAP. I really would like this phone and would want it over the iPhone any day, but I cant wait forever, the first one in stock will get my money.

Windows mobile... says it all. give me as many xbox's as you like i refuse to own a phone using windows mobile or symbion.

Maybe the HDDVD format is dead, but saying the 360 is useless becasue of that is like saying an N95 is useless cos it has an infra-red port.

From what I can make of the news report it seems that will be for the Italian market only. Although that would be an extremely unwise move by Samsung - by showing favouritism to one particular market, they are alienating every other market, so if they have a shred of common sense, they'd roll out the Xbox offer for everyone. I guess we'll just have to wait and see..........

the only thing that suks is the screen res.....the Diamond has VGA, look at the pics of the Omina you can see the pixals in screen......just too bad that 1 thing let it down, btw Nokia ain't the only one late in releasing their top-line.....The Xperia dead before it even hit the sleeves...the Diamond looks great and the Omnia comes with a Xbox and a 5mp cam....gonna be hard to top that and by the time the Xperia comes in town both the Diamond and Omnia are gonna be at great deals.....SE pulled the beloved P5 and the all star Beibei....who knows they might pull the xperia or revamp it.....their only hope is the C905.....and guess what Samsung rolled on that too, seems like Nokia and SE really got comp and the N96 and C905 and Xperia ain't gonna cut it.....hopefully both comps gonna roll out with something huge...but like i said pretty hard to beat a freakin Xbox...

so its out on the 11th august in UK, if i was to walk into an o2 shop, get my first contract with the omnia.. would i get the xbox u reckon?

Never mind about xbox, the point is that the phone should be available in all European markets on the same date. To add in a give-away and just for the Italians tends to undermine the phone and by favouring one market over all others, is bad PR as it suggest all other European (potential)customers are valued somewhat less.

Well done Samsung...... Its one of the best mobile fones and the best offerings as well... I-Phone will simply be a spastic compared to this fone and sales package. Thank you samsung,, you are always the best
