Whereas 47M iPhones were sold and the majority being the 4S... the point I'm trying to make is peoples claim that Apple is cometing with 1 iPhone with Android's 1000!.. that is true but you don't even have to compare it to 1000 androids when ONLY 1, Samsung GS3, has sold MORE than the iPhone 5. So why even say 1 apple competes with thousands Androids when 1 apple can't even sell more than 1 Samsung!!!

> In reply to Killer Droid @ 2013-02-13 19:31 from QGtq - click to read......Last time that i check Apple is still selling iphone 4, and 4S. That's meen that is selling tree type of phone.

Iphone 4 = low end
Iphone 4S = Mid range
Iphone 5 = High end......

That´s even more unfair, keeping in mind also Samsung has sub-models on their entire line up

Like:

Samsung SG3, SG3 Mini, ACE 2, ACE Duos, SG2, SG2 Skyrocket, SG2 Mini, and so on :D

> In reply to Killer Droid @ 2013-02-13 19:31 from QGtq - click to readI mean just 1 brand "iPhone"

In this case iPhone 2, 3, 4 and 5 are the same iphone model.

In case of Samsung is.

Ace, Galaxy 1, 2, 3, Skyrocket, FIT, GIO...or easier...Series S, E, I, 3xxx, 2xxx, 1xxx, and so on, no wonder why Samsung sell more than Apple

:D Just plain numbers

> In reply to Lakers are joke @ 2013-02-13 22:46 from 4bF2 - click to readIt took the GS3 7 months (June-December) to sell around 30 million units. Even if only half of the 48 million iPhones sold last quarter were iPhone5 plus the at least 5 million sold in the last week of Q3, the iPhone 5 will put GS3's lifetime sales to shame by the end of 7 months. The same way lifetime sales of the 4S put the GS2's sales to shame.

"Even though Apple has the benefit of running it's own OS, all by itself, it cannot beat Samsung, who has to compete with 100's of other companies who also run the same OS (Android)."

What kind of lame logic are you using? A single company using its own OS is in a position of weakness. Having multiple companies using the same OS spreads the influence of the OS. Multiple companies benefit from the same maps, app store, baked in features. That's the main reason why Android is leading the numbers sold game today. Samsung has to compete with hundreds of other companies? What do you think? They don't compete with Apple too? You have alot to learn about the market son.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-02-13 20:44 from Iw6U - click to readYou don't even have to add up the sales of the other 37 Samsung models. Just 1 device, GS3, has sold more than the iPhone 5. Even though Apple has the benefit of running it's own OS, all by itself, it cannot beat Samsung, who has to compete with 100's of other companies who also run the same OS (Android).

> In reply to The Boy with Red Hat @ 2013-02-13 19:26 from 8V2c - click to readYes, Apple makes only 1 model of the iPhone but it's also true that the iPhone is also the only phone that runs iOS. Users are limited to only 1 company so of course Apple's sell will be very high. If, however, iOS were open source and had multiple hardware manufacturers, then I HIGHLY doubt Apple would even sell 4 million iPhone 5's. Samsung on the other hand, even with competition form 100's of other Android manufacturers, all by themselves, have sold more GS3's then the Apple has sold iPhone 5's!

Android is the king for next 5 years. Moreover, new android devices from chinese factories are appearing so android market will be each day more and more. Apple unfortunately will reduce sales, as iphone 2 or 3 times more expensive than android , and even it is a lower feature phone now. Nokia is completely dead in the future.
