They are 2 totally individual business models that thrive on volume and profits. The only difference being that Apple focuses on the higher end market rather than making handsets and other devices to fit everyones needs and budgets.

Samsung is a conglomerate. So its OS makeup involves integrating Android and WP8 into its hardware (as well as STILL making parts for the iPhone, so that's iOS as well).

Iphone 4 = low end
Iphone 4S = Mid range
Iphone 5 = High end

Apple is seeling more iphone 4S than the two other.

you samsung users are such iphone haters. you have so many different android devices out and so many samsumg models out....it's just the iphone and to show how dominant the iphone is every other cellphone aim to rival the iphone cuz its the leader...
