Your pc vs console comparing is pointless, because gaming console uses every power only for that game. Pc need to run OS etc. Its not about optimization.

Having better hardware only makes the dev more lazier because they don't need to optimise much of the app

If you look at ps3/Xbox you will see how much the games are optimised for them and when games are important to pc the game require much higher hardware requirement because its not optimised

I find it really hard to believe that the company that loves its insane profit margins will update so much on the "S" upgrade, I'm guessing newer, 13 MP camera, and the A7, which will almost certainly be dualcore, but with a higher speed, maybe 1.5 GHz? Doubtful on the 2GB of RAM, and they'll save Quad Core for the next iPad, then the iPhone 6. Just based on history, I'm a bit biased, so sue me if I'm wrong on an educated guess

Yes it is, more complex upcoming apps and games need more power, iOS is already superfast and smooth. These powers are mostly for devs, mostly game devs so they can do even more awesome looking games.

iOS isn't like Windows Phone...
iOS (the latest version) runs slowly on iPhone 3GS...
Windows Phone just need a single core (like the iPhone 3GS) and runs just perfectly !

Windows Phone is just better than iOS.

Everyone who talks about quad-core processor they should shut up if they doesnt known what is hardware and software and relations between them.
iPhone has own designed processor and OS and S3 has own processor but not own OS so dual-core apple A6 processor (apple swift not cortex-A9) in Iphone 5 is faster than quad-core exynos in S3 i own both devices and i tried them in speed test and graphics
Playing on iPhone 5 is far better than S3
With 2 points S3 can beat iPhone 5 in price and screen which is better for watching videos not more.
