Very very nice solid phone... the best of its kind imo. Anyone thinking of getting one, do as you won't be disappointed. Someone told me that the interface lags a bit... I have to say it does, but I only notice it when you first turn on the phone (from off/lowbatt). I guess while its loading stuff in the background, but after that everything works like a gem. I would marry it if I can.... then divorse it when they release an iPhone killer...
sick phone.. cant wait to actually hold it to see how it is. doesnt look that thick, your crazy if you actually think its thick
this phone looks like a big mammoth 2 words not interested although im loving the 8 megapixel camera
Anonymous, 30 Jul 2008my point is that how can u say its a FUNNY COMMENT !!!!!!I was saying your comment is funny, coz Nokia was and will not make any profit from other brands using symbian. Being a 47% share holder, they were actually spending more than what they were getting from other brands. Nokia was paying $10 million annually to Symbian for using S60 in their handsets.
Now that Nokia plans to buy rest of the shares and giving it to Symbian Foundation for royality-free use, Nobody has to pay anything . Got my point?
1. Nokia is acquiring all the 52% shares it does not own in Symbian
2. Samsung has yet to respond to the offer but it is likely that samsung would accept this offer.
3. Nokia will then establish a foundation with handset makers Sony Ericsson and Motorola Inc. and Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo to make the software available royalty-free.
LOOK AT THAT, it will be ROYALTY-FREE!!!!!! meaning, they will not earn any money from licensing.
4. AT&T Inc., LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics Co., STMicroelectronics N.V., Texas Instruments Inc. and Vodafone Group PLC will also join the foundation, Nokia said.
