Nice attempt by nokia. For the features, it definitely beat the iphone but as for the design, it doesn't even come close (at least in my opinion).

Long ago, there has been rumor of the true successor of the sonic king N91 that is expected to showup its shadow in 2008. Perhaps this is it. Labelling as mid-range is a bit ironic, spec wise, its already packing almost everything and to think that this is the first touch of the giant.

iPhone - 320x480 (3.5 inches)
5800 - 360x640 (3.2 inches)
5800 has more pixels in a smaller area, so how is it low res?

A 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 16 Million colors will go up against the iPhone's 3.5-inch multi-touch display. To handle communications duties, there's a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio with 3G UMTS/HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, and some GPS thrown-in for good measure. There's also a 3.5mm headphone jack and TV-out port on the Nokia 5800 XpressMedia. And, just like the updated N82, the Nokia 5800 XpressMedia will support geo-tagging of pics - a nicety allowed by the built-in GPS receiver.
Have found its spec on SNtraders

the specs drive it too superior within its sector. is there some bad thing somebody can spot out. feel like nokia too can slap the Apple iPhone.

Low screen res, way too big and well... not much else in there that gets me excited. I'll stick with my N905imu.
