Its a note2 put in a bigger house. Id still suggest ti buy note2. Deffntly better than i5. I used to be an apple fan. Until i tried the note2. Best phone samsung ever created. Id still choose note2 than sgs4.

What's with the massive bezel? It makes it look like a bad knock-off!

Another ugly device. Since it's close to SGS4, I suppose the flagship is also going to be ugly=(

"The display is an 8" unit with WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels)"
Im waiting for a future 8 inch 1080 x 1920 pixels version - then im on-board. 7 inch is slightly too little and 10 is too big. I think releasing a new line of 8 inch tablets is i good move.
As for the supposed "ugliness" I scratch my head.

Samsung is the new Blackberry. Every new model looks exactly the same, which would be ok except that they're all bu** ugly!

what is the fascination with PPI, who cares, most peole who owned a device until about 18 months ago had never heard of PPI, its just these big companies new word for advancement, the human eye cannot distinguish anything beyond approx 300ppi, i have a galaxy s3 which has 326, and an ipad mini which has something very low like 170ish and you cannot tell the difference, reading text looks no different the only difference you can see visually is the display color and saturation is so much more vivid on the s3, yes sure if you zoom in multiple times you start to notice pixel changes, but for MOST consumers, you will never read something that zoomed in, so in essence its is just a silly marketing by word that people are jumping on the band wagon to outdo each other, get over it come on companies, move on lets see some real innovation again

Very very large bezel you can't hold with one hand even. By the way where are the apple haters swear to mini's resolution?

why is every1 complaining about the Note 8.0's 189 ppi screen when the iPad mini has a worse screen of 163 ppi which every1 thinks is fine to overlook

The normal consumer doesnt care bout PPI...The note 8 screen is above average, and its good enough.
