They pack phones with so many features (mostly impractical ones), but, with processors not powerful enough to handle it, and the results are phones that are slow and unresponsive, phones that lag and hang a lot of times. The iphone does not freeze up on you (unless you got a defective device). It's very responsive and has a very fluid and intuitive UI that is the envy of ALL touchscreen phones. And with the iphone 3g, you can now add other applications. Applications that are safe and will not damage your phone, because they are developed from trusted sources.

Gotta say, I prefer my black-backed Omnia more. This white back version does not have the brushed-metal surface (even though it's made of plastic). Instead, the white back features a wave style--a little more effeminate, in my opinion.

All your Apple iPhones fellowers, should try to open your eyes and see your surroundings, because as far as I know you guys never like to try another device other than the iPhone so how could you give a result without even see or play with the device?
http://www.Samsung-Omnia.org will tell you how powerful this device is.

Wow, very inaginative!
Congratulations Samsung!
Whats next? A smart qwerty keyboard that predicts and fixes your keystrokes? "Application Shop"? "Ultra Ape Ball"?
Any more similarities and there might be a lawsuit coming from Apple.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-08-06 03:49 from LKmv - click to readPerformance, simplicity and quality is the key to the iphone's success. It is not out there to be the ultimate multi media device. It focuses its functions in communications so not to complicate and compromise it's performance. I've tried quite a few of other feature packed devices, & quite honestly, I was disappointed and frustrated by their performance knowing that there's a phone like the iPhone that works effortlessly. After trying out so many multi media phones, I've realized that all they're really is are cellphones. I still ended up missing my canon sd camera. And after a while, I don't really use those other features. I remember using fm radio only once w/ my n95. Using your phone for office tools is not really fun but rather a daunting task. With the iPhone, I see myself using its features regularly. It does not misbehave like most multi media phones do. As for the omnia, it's obviously iPhone inspired, & that's not a bad thing at all. If you think you need all those extra features, then get the omnia, but don't say that it's better than the iPhone just because it has a better camera. Don't be bitter.

Why are people commenting on the Iphone when this is obviously a Samsung news people should get a life. By the way this will make us have more choice rather then just one color.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-08-06 00:56 from FIWT - click to readThe iphone has a great interface and the best screen ever to see a cellphone, but like all phones its not perfect. There is no phone with every feature you could possibly want - then manufacturers would go bankrupt. But I must say that we need people to bash the iphone because there are a lot of people who think its the ultimate phone when, like I explained its not. We techies need to educate the masses...Devils Advocate so to say.

Oh come on, i sell iphone everyday, it wont stop selling thats for sure, but its because of marketing not because of superior features. For god sakes the damn thing doesn't have mms or name display and video calling or video recording for that matter. It has its ups, but too many downs. People will keep buying them cuz their bunch of sheeps, just cuz its on tv, dont mean its good. Lg shine and chocolate is a prime example

bitter people should really stop bashing the iPhone. It's really getting old, and it doesn't stop people from buying it. The iPhone is an awesome phone. It is what most people need. It does so well with it's features. Its features make sense and just enough. Packing a phone with features that would slow it down and compromise its performance is not a good thing. The iPhone performs fluidly and is very intuitive. Something that most, if not all, of it's rivals try so hard to match, so they end up packing their phones with mediocre features like 5 mp cameras. Oh well, I've tried most of them & the iPhone is still the phone to beat.

The colour is irrelevant even pointless as there is no useful information as to when the phone will be available in the UK. All the reviews and comments just add to the angst
