They should have used the same material for the back as the device the one touch idol. Still if priced correctly this can take a good chunk out of mid range (price wise not full spec wise).

I bet every budget smartphone with 1-1.2ghz dual-core CPU uses MTK6577. Not the best choice, but better than single-core ones.

"The bad news continues with the addition of a dual-core, instead of a quad-core."
Sometimes, dual-core is better than quad-core :) I will take dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon, insted of quadcore. Because i'm sure that it'll be chinese MediaTek. It's really processor for low cost phones.

Looks like Alcatel is mounting a comeback. i used to have a couple of phones from them. Would be nice to see them succeed this time.

Alcatel is fighting back eh, I support all the underdog companies like Alcatel, Sony, LG, and HTC...with them , there wont be a monopoly of Apple and Samsung products.
Alcatel~Lucent - France
Sony - Japan
LG - South Korea
HTC - Taiwan
Trusted companies...you know you wont have any problems with security and the over-all built quality of the phone unlike phones from "some" companies...you know what I'm talking about.
