Chinese company should be appreciated for able to produced high end features smartphone at throwaway price, in comparison to other’a flagship smartphone like iPhone5, BB Z10,HTC One, Lumia 920,galaxy Note 2 etc etc.
All the above phone too either manufactured or assembled from Foxconn like factories in China.

Chinese companies that can produce high spec stuff like these are now a dime a dozen. It's just that they don't have service support backup like Nokia Care or Micromax.

So if prices do rise, the next company will tear them down. An endless cycle till there is a monopoly.

The Koreans, Finns and the Americans have been gouging the rest of the world with their markups. iPhone4 bill of materials was only 187 dollars or less than Rs 10,000 in 2010. The Chinese onslaught will set things right.

Lol..... Just got it for my dad just for Gmail and some Angry Birds..... It's awesome and the biggest lol is that it supports Real racing 3 and also runs it smoothly with extremely small lag (but app version is 1.0 so it'll fixed i think).... Cheers

Hi.. Even I am also tempted seeing the UMI X2 specs, but can we rely Chinese mobile and if we have any problem with the phone after buying.. then what is the position?? Are there any service centers in India???

It's not a good idea to compliment a quality smartphone with mid range smartphone price. If all of us keeps commenting like that, when the manufacturer finds out, they will increase the price equivalent to IPHONE. Once they increase the price, there's no turning back. You and me will end up buying an expensive phone.

very good price of UMI x2 with 13mp cam ,quad core, 2 gb ram !!!!!!!!!!
other manufacturer companies cant sell a high end phone for $260!!!!!
micromax and this UMI company doing a very good job !!!!!!

do you think that WP and iOS are optimised to the Hardware? How is that? iOS ver 5.1 runs on arm 600mhz processor to dual core 1ghz processor with differential amount of RAM and GPU. how the heck is it optimised for the respective hardware?

All these os perform utilize the hardware in more or less the same way. there are only few machine code interpreters that change the entire feel which doenot differ much.
