I think the site you have mentioned to buy the UMI mobiles in India seems to be a fraud site ... the helpdesk number is a mobile number which is not connecting and payment is accepted through NEFT transfer ...!!!

Have you ever been to a production facility. Are you familiar with the term quality control. Have you ever contracted any job to a Chinese company.

There are many grades of production, which determine the failure possibilities of a product and its price.
The low priced products are just assembled, not engineered and designed well and tested on long terms. Thus reducing the development cost significantly.

The specs are similar to JIAYU G4 which was announced to be released at a price of 9,000 INR but its still not in stores yet.. Canvas HD and UMI X2 both are priced at 14,000 INR so atleast its clear that JIAYU G4 would not be priced at 9,000 INR so people should not wait for it instead go for Canvas HD or UMI X2..

very good news...I was in search of 1080p 5inch device with sd card support and 2gb ran...and was waiting to comedown the SGNII price fall...now I will bout this great device at reasonable price

Micromax is from India! it have office base locating everywhere around the world.The company keep on rapid growing. Next time you wanted to buy Mobile phone from Chian make sure it's internal registered brand not a backyard made. You'll be surprise how good it made and user friendly on some of the models, like Huawei, ZTE..etc.

Quality doesn't have to suffer if the price is low: if you have a smart process, then you don't spend all your time in correcting mistakes and suffering from low yield. We'll see what it's like when this device ships.

If you buy any Samsung or Sony flagship (I can't tell the same thing about HTC or LG at least here in Costa Rica) you'll get "customer support, warranty, service center & spare parts availability, software updates, and many more". There are recognized brands out there who make Android phones. If you buy cheap, you get cheap, regardless of the brand. But many times a higher price doesn't mean a better product. IMHO Apple isn't such a great brand. It's simply overpriced. They're quite good at some stuff (to each their own) but you definitely don't get what you pay for.
