Micromax is from India! it have office base locating everywhere around the world. The company keep on rapid growing. Next time you wanted to buy Mobile phone from Chian make sure it's internal registered brand not a backyard made. You'll be surprise how good it made and user friendly on some of the models, like Huawei, ZTE..etc.

Quality doesn't have to suffer if the price is low: if you have a smart process, then you don't spend all your time in correcting mistakes and suffering from low yield. We'll see what it's like when this device ships.

> In reply to Bocah IT @ 2013-02-28 01:38 from U}}x - click to readWhat does that have to do with being an Android fan? If you buy any Samsung or Sony flagship (I can't tell the same thing about HTC or LG at least here in Costa Rica) you'll get "customer support, warranty, service center & spare parts availability, software updates, and many more". There are recognized brands out there who make Android phones. If you buy cheap, you get cheap, regardless of the brand. But many times a higher price doesn't mean a better product. IMHO Apple isn't such a great brand. It's simply overpriced. They're quite good at some stuff (to each their own) but you definitely don't get what you pay for.

The point is buying this is also supporting low salaries and terrible working conditions suffered by quasi slaves in Asian sweatshops. However it isn't any different when you get an Apple/Samsung/HTC/Sony product, except you pay a much higher markup, benefiting a small group of people and making them filthy rich, supported by the legally hired quasi slaves in sweatshops.

> In reply to dheerajmehta @ 2013-02-27 23:06 from YTFm - click to readThere is a big difference between an American product being assembled in China and a Chinese product. The manufacturing of the iPhone 5 follows certain American quality control. The Chinese products don't.

There are many things : customer support, warranty, service center & spare parts availability, software updates, and many more. I'm more than sure that this phone won't get any OS update at all. Talk about spec sheet, recently I bought a chinese dual-core tablet for $75 . Although it's pretty decent at spec sheet, its actual performance was horrible. I will never buy a device from non-reputable manufacturer again even their price tag is attractive.

Quality nowadays is more expensive than the specs. For a phone with mammoth features to be priced this low, the quality must be subpar.

The only things that can hold these phones back are quality, durability and customer support/service. The 5 inch 1080p market is heating up. It is looking increasingly likely that the Samsung Galaxy S4 won't be able to best the sales of the S3 due to all the other competent 5 inch 1080p phones like Oppo Find 5, HTC, Pantech, ZTE, etc. It (GS 4) is already kind of late to the 1080p party.
