Sony is known for releasing two flagships a year, one at the very beginning and another one in the third quarter. That was Sony’s last-year game (the first flagship was the Xperia S, followed by Xperia T), and the Japanese OEM will probably play along this year too. The late Sony flagships (yes, there are two of them!) have just leaked aliased as Honami C670X and Togari C780X.
The Sony Togari could be Sony’s first step into the phablet market. It’s not an unknown device, as we have encountered its name along with some details not to long ago. It sports a 6.44-inch 1080p display of 342ppi and a design similar to the Xperia Z, which translated means a beautiful full-glass body. The rest of the specs is still mystery though. Sony could launch the Togari in Japan as soon as July.
Sony Honami is the successor of the Xperia Z and ZL, featuring a 4.8-inch 1080p display, 16MP or 20MP Sony Cyber-Shot camera sensor, 2,3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and a battery of large capacity. The Honami will make a debut in July in China on Unicom, followed by a global release in late Q3 2013.
Both of the devices are water and dust resistant and run on Android 4.2 Jellybean. Again, this information isn’t confirmed, so take it with the usual dose of salt. We really hope this devices turn out to be real

Xperia Zl is more than enough!
I do agree that Android are being released so rapidly, thus confusing potential consumers from a said product, whether to buy a certain product or to wait a few months for another specifically better product. Yet this is a very rapid developing market, technologically wise, we all see how a manufacturer managed to be the world's most numerous phone maker just by providing more and new features every once a while, which made customers able to choose their preferences from multiple choices in their products, albeit their's a very plasticky manufacturer. Sony is just trying to do the same, what with their better build quality, might put them on the top. And as a Sony lover, I hope this move proves to be the right one...
giorat23, 01 Mar 2013keep buying the crappy android... not realize that manufacturers play with customers by launch... moreYes, Apple need their best technology to add 0.37 inch of height and crappy Apple maps to iPhone 4S and call it iPhone 5

I have same problem with you, most high tech smartphone today has big screen. 4" for me with tiny bezel. I'm still using Ray (small yet beautiful), getting tired with the lag

When im with my friends and watching movies, I connect my phone to my tv via hdmi.
not agree with you. Amoled display is much better than LCD or TFT display in terms of brightness, sunlight visibility and viewing angles. I had nokia n8 which has Amoled screen. Currently i'm using nokia 808pureview which again have Amoled screen. Simultaneously i'm also using sony ericsson xperia mini pro which has LED backlit LCD. But believe me, sunlight visibility and viewing angles are not that good compared to Amoled screen. :)
AnonD-91246, 02 Mar 2013they haven't mentioned the display technology. Super Amoled would be better. but unfortunately... moreSome prefers lcd because of the life span and better display on low brightness

AnonD-71308, 02 Mar 2013I'm disappointed. Sony is always one step behind.are you kidding?
this phone features the best specs right now and will be available in 3,4 month.
and don't forget that Z is doing a pretty good job in competing with 2013 flagship. so i think Sony must take its time to bring the best thing possible.
I'm disappointed. Sony is always one step behind.
[deleted post]no, it look a like Xperia GX/TX :P

they haven't mentioned the display technology. Super Amoled would be better. but unfortunately Sony doesn't use Amoled screens. they stick with LCD or TFT display technology.
Anonymous, 01 Mar 20134.8 is too small. No reason to wait for this mini phone. Give us 5.2 or 5.3 inch. Wait for xperia togari
AnonD-86903, 01 Mar 2013this is a S4 killer for sure. just an IPS screen and juicy battery, then S4 is done.I think it will use jdi lcd this time
