i'm just wondering what happens to the water that gets trapped within the internals. what if you can't shake them off completely? wouldn't that cause abnormalities on the displays or other parts? condensing water/mist can still possibly damage the phone.

Seems like all of this is coming from the the bottom of your heart ;) Such a hater...
also btw "Samsung providing latest technology and you still with your 90's projects"
Nokia doesn't require that much resources to run smoothly, LAG FREE which Samsung requires, that is why so called "latest" technology found inside it.
Why would Nokia waste it's money on developing high tech phones when it's phone can run on low techs easily....
I am not a Samsung hater but your comment just make no sense, baseless. you knowledge about Nokia is lacking hard. Therefore, I must say, "Think before you say something"

the nokia phones are so something , that i love to something them on a very shaky something! no really , nokia rules , i always hated nokia phones , in the past , cause their phones were mostly really bulky and were poorly designed (till the n95 era) , but when you really look into it , the best cellphone manufacturer is nokia. the king of the north! i'm really happy that nokia is back in the game , hope to see more innovations from nokia (in your face samsung) some brands , are meant to be in the game , and some other are just good for an era , like samsung and zte adn huawaei .

On topic: it's good news, looking forward to hear more about it from Nokia themselves. So the new trend after HUGE screens will be water and dust resistance I think.

thank god they have more on their sleeve for eos.it appears nokia r taking in their profits after a long lossful time and paying attention towards their postponed projects.this tech of water repelling was announced when lumia 800 and 900 were in wp limelight.
