Oh dear, samsung. xD There's something totally awkward about this feature, srsly. And it's not the 'good' kind of awkward. It's the other way around. The horrible kind.

I think samsung only add a lot of feature to their smartphone without thinking it's needed or not. They add feature but not focus on the quality of the feature itself. Too bad. What sony did with their anti dust and water resistance on xperia z, that's what we need. Even htc one is better with their dual speaker. Samsung isn't bad but he other has catch up and i think better in many ways than samsung.

S-Voice? It's a gimmick, and it doesn't work well. It is known.
Honestly is a joke...for how long it takes to do things and for how often it fails it ends up being a waste of time. I recommend rooting, flashing a jelly bean ROM with Google now.
I rebooted the phone several times - didn't fix the problem. I went through all my settings, but couldn't find anything that looked wrong, so I eventually did a full factory reset which also did not help the problem. it was all very slow and rather clumsy and look how it is now.
The only time voice will ever come in handy for me is when i am driving... Other then that it's just another toy lol.

This is just refreshing thec to offer not a new innovation. Its just based on "motion detection" which is some other manufacture alrealy applying to their device since 2009. For example sony ericsson yari which offer motion move just like wii. And of cause some device adapt look alike using sensor detection like hover your hand on sensor to activated silent mode. Gesture control to skip music and silent imcoming calls. This kind of thec already in smartphone ages ago.
