HTC is really popular in Russia but asking local customer for usd200 extra seems unfair. Funs will find a way to bring one from abroad though overall local sales will not be terrific. I go for Nokia ))

$900+ ? HTC must be crazy! Knowing GS4 is coming right around the corner, HTC decides to price the One this way? huh.... Good luck on that route. I love the design engineering on this baby but hell I ain't paying over $600 on this phone.

Htc price ??? Well first ita going to be $700-$900 after 1 month $600-$700 and after galaxy s4 the price will be $400-$500. I love htc and htc one is my next one after htc one x. Just to remind all htc users that htc never retains its price that is not really good. Look at Samsung s3 keeping up its price until now just a little drop. Htc have all the different prices according to the region Samsung has almost the same prices all around the globe. Htc should work on this and try to market it better this time.

I think that's a wrong understanding of the market.
The majority of cell phones in Russia are sold unlocked and without signing any new contract.
Yes, you can buy a phone with a new SIM-card, but it won't change the price at all.

Carrier Telia in Sweden has it for SEK 6295 (USD 986). They also have the Z at 6395 (USD 1001). Telia does have a habit of overpricing phones though.
