> In reply to OMG @ 2013-03-09 06:05 from YcRm - click to readlol..so you don't even own an wp 8 device??
as i told you win 7.5 is a big white rat os for experiment.
in wp 8, u can select mutiple picture to delete it, share it. whatsapp also got big improvement since wp 8, now is as good as android feature in my opinion (about previous whatsapp isn't nokia or microsoft fault, i mean is the developer problem).
i agree 720 is good, but i think you are not understand about the difference, it use the same display but the resolution and the ppi is different, 920 RAM is double size of 720, processor is 1.5 GHZ dual core vs 1 GHZ dual core, 920 LTE Vs 720 non LTE, and the biggest difference is in the internal storage : application on windows phone 8 only can be installed on internal storage. except for that the rest is the same.

> In reply to HKFoo @ 2013-03-09 02:15 from 61MH - click to readI think u dont understand what i am saying. I have my lumia 900, i also know that browser is good, but there are some silly tiny features which microsoft has still not included even after like 2.5 years. windows phone 7 was launched in 2010.
For example, in windows phone 7.5 u cannot select multiple pictures and delete them at once. if u want to delete 20 pictures u need to do it individually. I mean how silly is that. Multitasking, I still cannot use apps like whatsapp on my phone because i dont get messages until unless i open the app and leave it in background. Volume control is for everything - alarms, call ringing level and u get those annoying email notifications when u r talking on phone .... most annoying feature. These are the silly things i am talking about. I think even the pre beta version of ubuntu mobile OS has these features covered. While MS is still not even bothered about these.
920 is not a flagship anymore atleast for me, i feel 720 is much better than that, lighter, as fast as 920, it also has sd card slot, it also has a good camera ... whatever low light imaging that 920 has and I also get nokia drive on that, same apps, 4.3 vs 4.5 inch does not make even 0.01% diff to me, same touch sensitive screen, same IPS LCD screen, has same 2000 mah battery and its half the price of 920.
This is what i said, there is no major difference between mid range device vs flagship device. At most u can see extra 512mb RAM...other than that norhing. Same apps, Same software, same UI.
samsung for example .. s3 is a flagship .. it has 4.8 inch screen, many other features like pop up video, browser, multi window, s-note. this makes it a flagship device, its unique from Samsung family.
I am fed up with 900 ... will definitely switch to android.

This is just visual update....
with launcher 8 you can have same look of wp 8/7.8.....and it's even better with customisation like increasing and decreasing padding between tiles...

Fire your WP test team. First in 7.5 there was battery drain issue now this. Do MS really tests them before releasing. Once it happens is understandable but now its a recurring pattern.

i won't deny samsung is the top leader now.
but i'll stick with my lumia 920, because i think is a good smartphone for me, i have what i need here. btw IE 10 on windows phone is quite fast compare with the one browser on samsung galaxy devices. just saying, no offense

MS did nothing special with windows phone 8, where is the nootification center, keep wifi alive ?
who the hell need kids corner ???
U swipe the phone it will take to kids corner it seems ... bullshit, instead they could have implemented the notification center by introducing swipe left feature. It would have been awesome. Swipe right -> go to app list, Swipe left -> go to notifications.
Instead of giving some required features they are concentrating on some stupid useless features.

> In reply to HKFoo @ 2013-03-09 01:47 from 61MH - click to readAlso nokia only doing some improvements in imaging stuff nothing else. Its beacuse u cant do anything else with windows phone .... imaging can be done on any phone. Samsung will definitely come up with some nice features in S4 and m pretty sure about it. Plus it is adding so many other features .. multi window, pop up window ... among many more.
Windows phone does not even have a proper notification center even today and u r saying windows phone will do better ????
MS is cash rich company they dont really care if their product is a big success or failure, look at IE, bing, hotmail, Azure, surface, etc etc .. none of these are top products when compared to ... chrome, firefox, google search, gmail, amazon web services.
Its the OEMs which will suffer.
So better if nokia understands this and act quickly else .. i see the end as soon as next year.
this year will be ruled by s4, note 3 and probably HTC might see some sales with HTC one.
Knowing the fact that there is not much customizing required in windows phones, why does nokia take so long in launching flagship devices. One flagship device per year will not get them good sales. They shud know they are not iphone or samsung anymore.
there is no sign of nokia's next flagship device ... they r just releasing mid range devices which are no different from high end devices in terms of features. So if i want to buy a windows phone i will go for cheaper one only as i am getting same features anyways.

> In reply to HKFoo @ 2013-03-09 01:47 from 61MH - click to readit depends .. HTC and sony suk beacuse of their poor hardware for example battery life .... if u compare a high end sony's battery life with low-mid range nokia the difference is very small.
Also they dont update their phones on regular basis including their flagship devices.
These device look awesome only from outside, they fade away because samsung keeps adding some really gud features to their phones.
Nokia can easily compete with samsung in that case if they really want to come back into business.

nokia will never go for android.
as you can see the one with a big profit on android only samsung, huawei, zte and china vendors..
an old player such as HTC and Sony still having a problem with their sales dropped these past years with android, so switch to android will not guarantee nokia have a fast come back. beside wp8 now is having it's selling good, well we just have to see the Q1 report later on april

and here is the reason why wp 7.x can't update to wp8 is because they are create or build in different kernel, wp 7.x is just a white rat testing actually

> In reply to frogtech @ 2013-03-08 23:29 from ib9W - click to readwindows can be better than android if microsoft will guarantee that the devices running now on wp 8 will receive updates for the future new wp 9,10 versions like apple did with iphone 3gs wich passed from ios 3 to ios 6 in the last three years. respect apple. AND MICROSOFT MUST PAY TO POPULATE THE APP STORE QUICKLY. i am terminal tester for orange romania andi use all the platforms, i have a mobile maximum 2 weeks and i can say that after ios, wp8 is on the 2nd place. android is versatile, free, but very hard to use for many people wich activate in other domains than i.t. like doctors, lawyers. here we are a bunch of geeks, but keep in mind that 70% of the smartphone users want very simple menus. the success of iphone range lays in its simplicity and beauty. very few need the twisted android
